Integration of your hydraulic modeling software with the leading GIS platforms like the new ArcGIS Pro can streamline water network modeling. Hydraulic modeling can be used as a reliable decision-support tool, across a wide range of projects, from the design of a new system and pipe replacement, to operation and emergency response, but only if it works properly with the other systems you’re using. You may be using it for long-term planning so that expansion and rehabilitation decisions can be made in advance of population growth.īut are you happy with your current modeling solution? Is it enabling you to keep up with other advancing technologies, like the new ArcGIS Pro, or is it causing you headaches and holding you back? When running WaterGEMS CONNECTin the AutoCAD platforms, the minimum requirements are superseded by the minimum requirements listedfor those platforms. As a water engineer or water modeler, you know a hydraulic model enables you to evaluate the design of a system before it is built, or identify the optimal operation and renewal strategy. Additional space is also required for user model and data files.ĭisplay:As per minimum operating system requirements. Hard Disk:The software itself requires approximately 1.4 Gigabytes (GB) of disk space for installation, and approximately 200 Megabytes (MB) of disk space for optional lesson and sample files.
RAM:As per minimum operating system requirements. Processor:As per minimum operating system requirements. The minimum recommended workstation profile for running WaterGEMS CONNECT is: Models saved in older versions of WaterGEMS, WaterCAD, and WaterOPS can be opened in other 10.03.XX.XX releases. ArcMap 10.8 and earlier (WaterGEMS only) MicroStation V8i SELECTseries 10 and earlier (CONNECT Edition Integration is not yet supported) Standalone (no CAD or GIS software required) Note that WaterOPS is a standalone-only application

As a part of those solutions, Bentley provides professional services including implementation, integration, customization and training. From fire flow and constituent concentration analyses, to energy consumption and capital cost management, WaterGEMS provides an easy-to-use environment for engineers to analyze, design, and optimize water distribution systemsīentley's Martin Pflanz demonstrates the basics of automated fire flow analysis in WaterCAD and WaterGEMS.īentley Systems, Incorporatedis a global provider of collaborative software solutions that enable our users to create, manage and publish architectural, engineering and construction (AEC) content. WaterGEMSis a hydraulic and water quality modeling solution for water distribution systems with advanced interoperability, geospatial model-building, optimization, and asset management tools. Go to Join Geotables > Add Joins, which will update the geotable so that symbology can be added and updated. To view color coding, display active topology, or display flow arrows, you would first move the WaterGEMS model data to the geotable using Join Geotables. You can also add elements manually from the "WaterGEMS (Layout)" tab in the ribbon interface. Tools like ModelBuilder, LoadBuilder, and Terrain Extractor (among others) are all available, as with the Standalone version of WaterGEMS.
Once you have added or created a hydraulic model to use in WaterGEMS for ArcGIS Pro, the workflow for adding and editing model elements and computing a model will be similar to working in WaterGEMS Standalone or using the WaterGEMS tools in WaterGEMS for ArcMap. You can add a new or existing WaterGEMS model file from the WaterGEMS tab and selecting Hydraulic Model, then choosing either "Add New Hydraulic Model" or "Add Existing Hydraulic Model." Similar to using WaterGEMS for ArcMap, you will then be prompted to add a personal geodatabase that will be associated with the model. The ArcGIS Pro ribbon will include the WaterGEMS menus.
